#summer #earlyfall #trend

I have spotted this trend on both on the streets of New York and in the new arrival’s sections of my favorite retailers. Even a few Paris Haute Couture Week attendees were seen wearing this trend earlier this month.

The Red-Striped Knit –
Retailers’ offerings are already tiptoeing toward fall, which means now’s the time to snap up any knitwear that catches your eye, especially if you’re after a red-and-white-striped sweater. Preppy picks from Valentino, & Daughter, and Jardin des Orangers won’t stay in stock for long.

The Red-Striped Tank –
A red-striped tank top channels the nautical aesthetic without feeling too literal. Rib-knit basics from Doen, Cos and Joe’s Jeans can be styled like any white tank in your closet, including under jackets and cardigans.

The Red-Striped Tee –
A Breton striped tee is an easy way to breathe new life into your basics, without putting much of a dent in your budget. The tomato-red versions I am eyeing at J.Crew, Alex Mill and Rag &Bone pairs just well with crisp white linen shorts as they do with your go-to faded jeans.

The Red-Striped Button-Up –
I am a sucker for button downs:) A striped button-up makes a surprisingly versatile addition to your end-of-summer wardrobe. Pair it with a white linen skirt for a quick work outfit, a tank and baggy jeans for weekend brunch, or throw it on over an activewear set for post-gym errands. The list goes on. Opt for an oversized silhouette and it can double as a swimsuit cover-up too:)

And that’s the end:)
