It’s been a boho summer, with floaty genie pants, crochet tops, bubble shorts, and micro florals all seemingly experiencing a comeback at the same time. We’ve also seen long necklaces, oversize sunglasses, flare jeans, and ponchos make epic returns in the fashion sphere. Coincidence? I don’t think so.

Shells, Tassels, Stones –
Ditch your chokers because there’s a new necklace trend in town, and everyone this summer is on board. Long necklaces have completely taken over the fashion world, with all sorts of pendants to choose from, including shells, tassels, and stones. Many brands are taking cues from styles designed by Elsa Peretti for Tiffany & Co., while others take a beachier approach to the accessory.

All Things Lace –
Whether it’s shorts, skirts, pants, dresses, or tops, it doesn’t really matter. If it features lace on its trim, it’s probably trending this summer. The Row, Rohé, Saint Laurent, and more brands have all gotten on board, as have content creators and celebrities, like Jennifer Lawrence. Pair your knee-length, lace-trim skirts with knee-high boots, your lingerie-like lace-trim shorts with a leather blazer or bomber, and your lace-trim slip dresses with flip-flops.

Did You Say CULOTTES? –
No matter what people say, no one could have predicted the significant rise in popularity of culottes in 2025. Bermuda shorts, sure. But long, A-line shorts (or cropped, A-line pants) weren’t an expected trend to surface, and yet, after being spotted at COS’s spring/summer 2025 show in Athens, and later, on Hailey Bieber during a shopping trip in Tribeca, the controversial bottoms have become a fashion-crowd favorite for hot weather.

Limoncello –
Hailey Bieber called it: The end of butter yellow is here, and in its place is a different shade of yellow entirely. She called it limoncello, and we’re running with it. Not only was the hue all over Bieber’s latest Rhode event (on her and all her guests and products, of course) at a beach club in Mallorca, but it was also on the runways at Chanel’s spring/summer 2025 haute couture show and more.

Flip or Flop –
Look around, everyone is wearing flip-flops, and not just at the pool or beach. Once considered gross to wear on city streets, thong sandals have finally broken away from the stigma around them, mostly thanks to fashion people, who style them with trousers, knee-length skirts, and sundresses, instead of bikinis and cover-ups. Go classic with some Havaianas or ball out for a pair of The Row’s viral rubber Dune sandals. I recently wore mine to a coffee shop and no-one was staring weirdly, that means it’s a hit:)

Lazy Luxury –
This summer, effort is “out” and lazy dressing is “in,” but that doesn’t mean people don’t want to look and feel luxurious. On the runways at Max Mara and Kallmeyer, for example, models donned easy, effortless ensembles like a loose button-down shirt styled on top of a bikini with a column skirt and an oversize cotton sweater paired with flats and a bias-cut slip skirt. It looks rich and glamorous, but it takes zero energy to put together.
