Primary Color Button-downs –
Primary-color button-downs are about to be all the rage this spring. It’s one of the easiest ways to implement bright colors without having to overthink or try too hard. I’ve always been a fan of an oversize button-down, if I have to be honest shirts are the specific dominating category in my wardrobe. Style yours with a black miniskirt, a pair of flowy pants, Bermuda shorts, or a simple pair of jeans. Red, yellow, and blue never sounded so chic.

Cowl-neck Tops –
I’m always stuck on what to wear for a big night out, whether it be a fancy dinner with friends or a work event. My overthinking has finally eased because I saw fashion people are wearing cowl-neck tops again. This style isn’t a new trend per se, but it’s a classic that’s definitely back for spring and summer. It’s equal parts chic and fun to style. You can pair it with a simple knee-length skirt, jeans, or trousers. It’s a top that will instantly elevate your look on a day when you want to feel chic and put-together without having to put a ton of effort into an elaborate outfit.

Lace-trim Tops –
The chicest top trend of them all is the lace-trim top. Last year, lace-trim skirts were everywhere, but the detail has expanded to tops, and I couldn’t be happier. Spring layering has always been a hard task for anyone with the fickle weather, but layering a lace-trim top underneath a simple sweater is a style trick that I am using all season. All the It girls, including my chic coworkers, have been styling this trend with such ease. On chilly days, I’ll be re-creating this look below and layering a trench coat over it to complete my outfit. On warmer days, I can’t wait to hear the compliments I’ll receive after removing my sweater and tying it around my shoulders to show off my lace-trim top.

Polo Shirts –
We can all thank Miu Miu for the famous polo shirt becoming a mainstream trend, but the preppy shirt doesn’t have to look preppy all the time. For example, this outfit below looks fresh and fun, pairing a polo shirt with bloomers rather than the usual pleated skirt or trousers. I’ll be styling my polo just like this as the weather gets even warmer. If you’d like to keep your look simple, though, I recommend styling a polo shirt with a pair of cargo pants, so your outfit is still cool.

Prairie Tops –
Prairie tops have been on my radar for some time now. but I am not sure whether I could pull that off or not:) It’s a trend from the boho-chic aesthetic popularized by Isabel Marant. Now, fashion people are into that style again, and prairie tops are proof. Stylish dressers are keeping it simple by pairing their prairie tops with blue jeans and pointed-toe shoes or flats. If you’re just dipping your toe into boho-chic dressing, this is a great outfit formula, or you can go all out and try styling your prairie top with a similar skirt and jacket over your outfit to dress it up a bit.

Baseball Tees –
Baseball tees are taking over this spring/summer, and I’m so excited to style the trend. It feels very ’90s and reminds me of Mr. Shahrukh ๐ It looks so chic with a simple pair of pants and wedge sandals,ย if you want to dress it up. It’s a versatile trend too, so to keep it casual, just trade out the trousers for a pair of straight-leg blue jeans. The color combinations of this shirt style are also endless, as brands from Zara to COS to Aritzia are all over it.

That’s all ๐
